We have put together this typical itinerary for you, which will allow you to discover the best of the Champagne region in 2 days:



Friday 5:30 pm
Arrival in Epernay and check-in at La Poterne

Place your suitcases in your cosy room and enjoy a charcuterie/cheese board as an aperitif, accompanied by a bottle of Champagne from our Domaine for the perfect start. Enjoy it in the garden in fine weather!



Friday 8pm
Dine in one of the many restaurants within a 5-minute walk of our guest rooms

(must be booked in advance of your stay)

- Table Kobus for bistronomic cuisine in a 1900s brasserie setting

- Sacré Bistro for its magnificent wine list and comforting dishes in a young, relaxed atmosphere

- Cook-in for creative Franco-Thai cuisine in a warm atmosphere



Saturday 9am
Generous breakfast at La Poterne with a maximum of homemade products to get the day off to a good start



Saturday 10.30am
Visit Hautvillers, cradle of Champagne and village of the famous monk Dom Pérignon

- Stroll through the narrow streets of this traditional Champagne village and enjoy the magnificent view over the vineyards. Don't forget to stop at one of the local winegrowers for a tasting!

Lunch in a champagne bar to discover the Champagne countryside

Saturday 15h
Depending on the weather and your aspirations, there are several options open to you:

- To learn more about vineyards and Champagne, head for Pressoria in Ay. This 2,000m2 facility offers an immersive, interactive tour that will appeal to all 5 senses.

- For a breathtaking view of the vineyards, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park, head for the Phare de Verzenay, climb the 101 steps to a 25-metre-high belvedere and contemplate an exceptional 360° panorama. Just a stone's throw from the lighthouse, enjoy a family walk in the heart of nature in the Verzy forest, ideal in summer for its shade and magnificent in autumn for its flamboyant colors!

- For a lovely bike ride, take the voie verte (V52) along the Canal de la Marne, enjoying a breathtaking view of the Champagne hillsides listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, flirting with the Montagne de Reims nature park, linking places steeped in history, retracing the footsteps of pilgrims and revealing the remains of chalk mining. Take a break at one of the many picnic areas.



Saturday 8pm
Take your car to an exceptional restaurant for a gourmet dinner

(must be booked in advance of your stay)

- Le Château de Sacy : Located on the second floor of the Château, the restaurant offers elegant, authentic local cuisine in a sumptuous setting. Enjoy its terrace with a breathtaking view of the vineyards on fine days.

- Le Royal Champagne: This sumptuous establishment offers two exceptional restaurants: Le Royal, which has been awarded a Michelin star, and the charming bistronomic restaurant, Le Bellevue.

- La Briqueterie: In a warm, light-filled atmosphere, this gourmet restaurant is dedicated to magnifying the delights of French cuisine. Its pretty terrace overlooking the landscaped garden is very pleasant in summer.

- Les Avisés : The restaurant of Anselme Selosse, the most famous of winegrowers, offers a unique menu, changing daily, made with fresh, local, seasonal produce in a warm, well-tended setting, just like at home.
On sunny days, you can also be served on the terrace.
